For 18 years, Tom McKeown and Heather Humphrey of Schaumburg, Illinois, have been the creative force behind Shadowfields, one of Chicagoland’s longest-running and most beloved bands. Their signature sound—an electrifying blend of Appalachian instruments, funk, and groove—has earned the moniker Americana Swamp Grass.

With 7 studio albums, airplay on 200+ independent radio stations across the U.S., and over a decade of U.S. and Canadian touring, Shadowfields delivers a refreshing acoustic experience. Their lineup features upright bass, fiddle, mandolin, mandola, Irish bouzouki, flute, piano, and drums, creating a unique fusion reminiscent of Mumford & Sons, Civil Wars, Nickel Creek, and the Avett Brothers.
