About the Artist

We are thrilled to announce a special Swirl Wine Dinner, featuring the exquisite wines of Château La Freynelle. Located in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, Château La Freynelle is a 75-hectare estate with a rich history dating back to 1789. For seven generations, the estate was passed down from father to son until Veronique Barthe, the first daughter born into the family since the French Revolution, inherited the family domain in 1992.

At only 22 years old, Veronique took over the management of the estate and has since used her personal touch and vast expertise acquired over the past 26 years to perfect Château La Freynelle. With the help of renowned consultant enologist Stephane Toutoundji, Veronique has been able to take her wines to the highest level possible by refining her viticultural practices and vinification techniques.

Today, Château La Freynelle is one of the top five Bordeaux wines from the Entre-Deux-Mers region in its price category and receives international and domestic accolades every year. Aquitaine Wine launched La Freynelle in the USA market in 2000, and it is now available in 47 states across the country.

We are lucky to take advantage of Veronique’s trip to Chicago in May.  She will be here to present her wines in person as we feature Château La Freynelle at our Swirl Wine Dinner.  We cannot wait for our guests to experience the exceptional quality and rich history of these wines firsthand.
