About the Artist

Formed in northern Illinois in the early ‘70s, StumpWater is a post-Woodstock era folk-rock band that originally gigged throughout the Fox Valley and Chicagoland.
Featuring great original songs with rich harmonies in the tradition of CSNY/Beatles/Simon and Garfunkel, and edgy lyrics reminiscent of Bob Dylan, the band’s music ranges from heartfelt ballads to introspective melodies to good old rock and roll.
StumpWater is now resuming live performances featuring founding members Joe Gloor and Dan Berg along with the talents of Bonnie and Ron Cimo. The band performs songs from their Drag City 2019 re-issue album Motel in Saginaw, some new originals, and a variety of their favorites from the last four decades!
