Hey Nonny’s first sell-out was our first Café Carly cabaret show — featuring Chicago’s most talented young musical theater performers, wrangled into a uniquely-themed show by hometown girl (and former NYC cabaret performer) Carly Stocking. Every Café Carly presents different songs, performers and jokes, but every one is a polished, high-energy songfest for delighted crowds. Come hold on to the last bits of summer as they sing about the adventures and mishaps of traveling, whether it’s across town or across the world in “Run Away With Me”. Featuring Carly Stocking, Erin Daly, Khaki Pixley, Nicky Mendelsohn, Nathan Copper, Tim Foszcz, and Tyler Fromson.
Carly Stocking is an Arlington Heights native and received her BFA in Acting from Illinois Wesleyan University. She returned to Chicago after spending five years in New York City producing, directing, and performing in cabaret shows. Theatre credits include: Cinderella in Cinderella, Miep Gies in The Diary of Anne Frank, and Helen in the West Coast Premier of Bob (B Street Theatre), Open For Me (Voices Theatre), and As You Like It (Milburn Stone). Carly is currently a director for Setting the Stage in Arlington Heights.
Erin Daly is a Chicago native. She’s known Carly since they started college together in 2006 and is thrilled to be singing again with her best girl. Previous credits include Mrs. Claus in “Snowgirls” (Hell in a Handbag), Kaityn in “Triassic Parq” (Circle Theatre), and “Bat Boy” (Griffin Theatre).
Nicky Mendelsohn is an Arlington Heights native who is thrilled to be back at the gorgeous Hey Nonny! Nicky made his Cafe Carly debut last November singing in Ain’t Love a B@#$%. Nicky’s Chicago credits include Poseidon! (Hell in a Handbag), Flies! The Musical!, It’s Only a Play (Pride Films and Plays) and the final Chicago cast of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding (Chicago Theatre Works). Regionally, Nicky has worked with Timberlake Playhouse, Priscilla Beach Theatre, The Round Barn Theatre, and Cedar Point. Nicky would like to thank his parents, his brother, and his husband for the love.
Nathan Copper is an Iowa raised and Chicago-based singer. Most recently seen with Scott Alan at Davenport’s Piano Bar and with Chi-Town Sings at The Den. He is thrilled to be making his return to Arlington Heights after playing Igor in Young Frankenstein (Metropolis Performing Arts). You can also find him every Wednesday night at Replay Beer and Bourbon hosting karaoke. www.nathanmcooper.com
Timothy P. Foszcz is so excited to be back and performing in his second cabaret with Café Carly! He is currently performing in the The Wizard of Oz with Chicago Shakespeare Theater as a member of the ensemble and as the understudy to Uncle Henry and the Guard of Oz, but you might have seen him last winter in the ensemble of and as the understudy for the Beast in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast with Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook Terrace! He is so thankful to Carly for having him back and to his family for their love and support in every way! As always, for and with you, Adele.
Tyler Fromson is thrilled to be here in Chicago. Recently, he has toured with Friends! The Musical Parody as Ross Geller, which you may have seen back in February at Broadway Playhouse. Other regional credits include Saturday Night Fever (Bobby C), Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour), Urinetown (Bobby Strong), Newsies (Romeo) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Demetrius). Originally from Kansas City, he is a proud graduate of Pepperdine University. Special thanks to Tim. IG: @t_from
Khaki Pixley is a native of Traverse City, Michigan and has been calling Chicago home for the past 15 years (however, she spent 3 of those years traveling as June Carter in the The Man in Black Show; A Tribute to Johnny Cash). She is a regular on the Chicago Theatre scene but loves opportunities (like this one) to sing great music with great people– Thanks, Carly!
