Join us as we dig in to life’s monumental moments, when we have to choose a different path and live with the aftermath. Hey Nonny’s first sell-out was our first Café Carly cabaret show — featuring Chicago’s most talented young musical theater performers, wrangled into a uniquely themed show by hometown girl (and former NYC cabaret performer) Carly Stocking. Every Café Carly presents different songs, performers, and jokes, but every one is a polished, high-energy songfest for delighted crowds.
Sana Selemon is an actor, dialect coach, teaching artist, and arts administrator at Marriott Theatre and BoHo Theatre. She proudly hails Columbus, OH and from two loving Ethiopian parents. Sana attended Ohio University for her BFA in acting and also received a minor in Sociolinguistics which has fueled her passion for accents and the world of languages. Now based in Chicago, Sana has worked with BoHo Theatre, Pegasus Theatre, American Blues Theatre, Definition Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, Pride Films and Plays, Remy Bumppo, First Floor Theater, and is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA. http://www.
Tim loves cafés, he loves Carlys, and he’s THRILLED to be back for another Café Carly! He’s just finished a run of Cabaret as Clifford Bradshaw next door at Metropolis, he’ll also be revisiting the show with Porchlight Music Theatre this coming winter. Chicago credits include Cinderella with Paramount Theatre, Beauty and the Beast with Drury Lane and Paramount, and Wizard of Oz with Chicago Shakespeare. Some other faves include Riff in West Side, Rapunzel’s Prince in Into The Woods, Lewis in Pippin, and Specs in Newsies. Carly Stocking is an Arlington Heights native and received her BFA in Acting from Illinois Wesleyan University. She has performed across the US, spending five years in New York City producing, directing, and performing in cabarets. When not performing on stage, she is co-owner of the Arlington Heights-based children’s theatre company Setting the Stage and also runs a vintage clothing shop.
