About the Artist

Haunted by the echoes of lockdown, Todd Kessler’s new album is a stark and beautiful reckoning with identity, mortality, and the search for solid ground. He chased the ghosts of his musical heroes to Ireland, seeking a sound as authentic as the questions that plagued him. Under the transformative touch of producer Hally, and with the bedrock laid by rhythm section Robbie Malone and Graham Hopkins, he forged a collection of songs that are both vulnerable and defiant. Kessler’s voice, raw and resonant, weaves through organic, meticulously crafted arrangements, creating a soundscape that is at once intimate and epic, a testament to the enduring power of honest artistry.

A Chicago area native, Kessler began making a name for himself in the local scene beginning in 2006 upon the release of his first album and quickly became known for his powerful voice and poignant storytelling. The next few years found him headlining clubs and venues around the city and suburbs while he continued to release albums as a solo artist as well as with his band The New Folk. Kessler gained National attention as a contestant on season 3 of NBC’s The Voice, which led to appearances across the country at venues and festivals.
